Your Impact as a Special Education Teacher in Lower School:In this role youll create and deliver personalized instruction for students with multiple disabilities including visual impairments. Youll design engaging lessons adapt materials and assess progresshelping every learner Youll Do:Develop and deliver customized measurable short and long term educational goals for students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)Adapt environments and materials to fit student needsUse creative motivating strategies to engage learnersCollaborate with families related service providers and teamsSupport inclusion and independence for every studentMaintain a safe supportive and inclusive classroomSet clear goals for success track student progress maintain records and adjust instruction based on ongoing observations and assessmentsWhat You Bring:Bachelors degree in Education and the ability to obtain a moderate to severe special needs teacher license within 3 years of degree in Special Education with a current teacher certification in severe special needs is experience with students with visual impairments hired as a regular employee at Perkins we have benefits that put you first including an employer contributing retirement plan tuition reimbursement from day one professional development personal days paid time off and paid sick leave.
