The Driver/Warehouse Associate is responsible for delivering merchandise to customers vendors and other locations while also supporting warehouse operations including shipping receiving stocking picking and inventory handling. This role ensures safe use of company vehicles and equipment delivers exceptional customer service and adheres to all safety protocols and operational procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities Customer Interaction - Delivers exceptional customer service through prompt professional communication and issue resolution.
- Responds to inquiries via phone email and fax with courtesy and efficiency.
- Maintains professional relationships with customers vendors and internal departments fostering collaborative problem-solving.
Driving
- Safely and efficiently delivers merchandise to customers vendors and branch locations.
- Verifies products during loading/unloading and ensures secure transport.
- Maintains required DOT certification and valid drivers license; promptly reports expirations or incidents.
- Conducts daily vehicle inspections and reports maintenance needs; maintains cleanliness and operational readiness.
- Uses GPS and mobile devices proficiently and follows all delivery procedures.
- Communicates delivery status and check-ins with supervisor throughout the day.
Warehouse Operations
- Supports all warehouse functions including receiving shipping stocking and order fulfillment.
- Sorts and places inventory by size type or code; ensures accurate labeling and documentation.
- Maintains clean organized and safe workspaces.
- Operates warehouse equipment safely and in compliance with procedures.
- Handles bills of lading and shipping documentation accurately.
Inventory Control
- Follows inventory procedures for labeling checking and reporting discrepancies.
- Assists with physical counts and inspects products for damage reporting issues promptly.
- Ensures inventory accuracy and proper placement within the warehouse.
Safety
- Adheres to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Wears appropriate PPE and responds promptly to unsafe conditions.
- Conducts equipment safety checks and follows job site safety requirements.
- Secures all loads during transport and handles hazardous materials according to guidelines.
Other
- Safety Sensitive Position: the ability to perform job functions in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Maintains proficiency with company computer systems in aspects related to job such as data entry messaging call logs data notations queue updates batching or other job & office functions and requirements

Qualifications
- High School diploma or its GED equivalent.
- 2 or more years experience with driving warehousing and related functions.
- Satisfactory DMV report plus driver insurability.
- Valid minimum 1-year DOT certification and state drivers license.
- Aptitude for mathematical operations and numerical analysis.
- Proficient in using office technology including computers photocopiers scanners phone systems and virtual meeting platforms as required for daily responsibilities.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
This position may require up to 4043 hours per week and involves regular physical activity including: - Regular bending climbing squatting kneeling and reaching up to 3 hours per day.
- Repetitive use of foot motion for driving 1-6 hours per day
- Operating forklifts and material handling equipment for up to 6 hours daily.
- Frequent lifting of 2550 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 100 lbs.
- Pushing/pulling objects up to 300 lbs. occasionally.
- Prolonged use of hands arms and feet for equipment operation.
- Periods of sitting standing walking and twisting throughout the shift.
- Visual requirements include close distance color and peripheral vision as well as depth perception and focus adjustment.
