Job Description
Salary/Position Classification
- $17.50 hourly Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
- summer 40hr/week and semester 10 hr/week hours per week
- 100% Remote Work Availability: No
- Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No
Purpose of Position
This is a part-time non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Undergrad part-time student position working this summer and continuing into the fall semester for a sophomore who has Chemical Engineering courses.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct an exploratory research project with UND researchers using laboratory experiments analytical measurements and data analysis.
- The project is to generate seed data for future longer-term research projects for the Energy Sovereignty for Indigenous Peoples (ESIP) global initiative
Required Competencies
- Excellent Organizational skills
- Sound leadership skills
Minimum Requirements
- Completion of sophomore-level chemical engineering courses CHE201 CHE206 and CHE315. Have an interest towards exploring research as a possible career opportunity.
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
