Responsibilities:
- Install maintain and repair electrical systems wiring controls motors and lighting systems in an industrial setting.
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and perform corrective actions to restore equipment functionality.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics blueprints and technical drawings.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and electrical systems.
- Ensure all work complies with local state and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Use a variety of tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters oscilloscopes and ohmmeters.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to support equipment upgrades and plant improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Assist in training junior electricians or apprentices as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program.
- Valid electrician license or journeyman certification (as required by jurisdiction).
- 3 years of experience as an industrial or commercial electrician.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems high-voltage equipment PLCs VFDs and industrial control systems.
- Ability to read technical documents blueprints and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Physical ability to lift climb and work in confined spaces or at heights.
- Willingness to work overtime weekends or shifts as needed.
- Experience in manufacturing food processing automotive or heavy industry.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- OSHA 10/30 or other industrial safety certifications.
