Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Surgical Tech (CST) - Instructor to join our team in Tucson. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the education and training of future surgical technologists by leading clinical lab instruction with a focus on excellence and innovation in healthcare education.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging clinical lab sessions for surgical technology students.
  • Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to facilitate learning and skill enhancement.
  • Collaborate with academic staff to ensure the curriculum aligns with industry standards and best practices.
  • Mentor students fostering an environment of learning and professional growth.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in surgical technology and integrate them into lab instruction.

Full-time Faculty Lab Instructor requirements include:

  • AA degree in anything
  • Graduated in a surgical tech program
  • 36 months working in an Operating Room (OR) (not leadership unless its teaching)
  • Requires instructor experience as a surgical Tech as well as 36 months of CST experience.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist from a nationally recognized and accredited credentialing agencyNCCT or BTSA

Onboarding is detailed and excellent: detailed Orientation then takes a class to teach and train instructors over the next week(s).
