Job Description
JOB DETAILS
Base pay starts at $19.50 - $25.00 per hour based on experiance
Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM - Monday - Friday (Overtime Required)
Duties and Responsibilities
Assists with planning and directing daily work schedule to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products. Enter shipping information in computer system. Assist in other areas as directed by supervisor.
- Plans delivery by organizing truck loads and routing schedules
- Calls external customers to coordinate deliveries and provide great customer service
- Works closely with drivers to ensure the load are handled in the most productive manner
- Communicates all manifests add-ons or changes for loaders drivers and customers
- Assist drivers with any questions concerns or variances on their load
- Coordinate with line carriers to ensure on time delivery of product
- Notify internal customers of variances such as back orders or delays and respond to inquiries
Qualifications :
- Must be able to multi-task and be organized
- Ability to work independently with the skill to ascertain work-load priorities define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Verbal ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees managers and customers
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as shipping instructions and procedural manuals.
- Must be proficient with computer system; able to navigate enter and manage data on computer systems (Excel Word outlook)
- Flexible with working overtime and weekends when needed
- 1-2 years of logistics or routing experience preferred
- Shipping experience a plus
