Job Description

Make your mark as Energy and Sustainability Analyst for the Boskalis Offshore Energy Fleet Management Department. Energy efficiency is a growing area of focus which has an important role and applies to the complete fleet of the Offshore Energy Division among various other aspects of Sustainability and the Environment. 

This role will enable you to collect and analyze relevant data in order to identify opportunities and implement relevant policies. You will be using relevant tools to develop analytics and tracking of energy performance. The ability to communicate and engage with various internal and external stakeholders is considered of major importance to achieve the full potential of this role. Your skills of engineering and data analysis shall allow you to both implement existing and upcoming regulatory requirements and identify further opportunities and implement improvements.

Your responsibilities as Energy and Sustainability Analyst:

  • Conduct analysis and research regarding energy efficiency emissions reduction and several other sustainability and environmental aspects. Define and analyze key metric indicators.
  • Manage the process of collecting and maintaining completeness and accuracy of environmental and energy efficiency data in databases.
  • Leading conversations with cross-functional teams to identify data gaps analysis and reporting needs. Assist stakeholders in defining metrics that are impactful to the business. Engage with team members to develop opportunities contribute to proposals.
  • Researching and vetting new data sources to support needs.
  • Perform preliminary and detailed studies/energy audits to identify energy conservation. opportunities needs and potential improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory filings including data requests etc..
  • Develop and maintain existing internal and external reports dashboards and analytics. Benchmarking improvements against operational data. Creating graphs and overviews of indicators and performance. Workflow management and data integrity activities. Troubleshoot and assist with accessibility to datasets as well as internal and external reports.

Your qualities

You can make your mark as Energy and Sustainability Analyst if you have:

  • A Bachelors (BSc) degree in Mechanical engineering. An additional Masters (MSc) degree in a relevant field (e.g. Energy Efficiency) is a plus. Specialization in marine engineering is a plus.
  • Excellent Excell skills experience with Power BI experience with Python analysis is a plus.
  • A passion for Decarbonization and other emission reduction.
  • At least 5 years relevant work experience. Sea-time is a plus.
  • A good command of written and spoken English.
  • No problem with travelling occasionally to attend vessels.
