Job Description

The Job Mission
Youll lead engineering delivery for a defined plant area supporting one of the UKs most ambitious nuclear programmes. Your future team will depend on your experience and leadership to coordinate design priorities and drive site readiness.

  • Act as lead engineering point of contact for your assigned plant scope area
  • Manage a small design team and set priorities to meet construction needs
  • Define and coordinate engineering scope based on site and delivery requirements
  • Oversee multi-disciplinary and contract interfaces to drive project decision-making
  • Mediate technical queries and finalise open points before construction milestones
  • Accept and validate design packages to ensure they meet all functional needs
  • Identify any Nuclear Safety concerns and uphold quality and regulatory standards
  • Report risks manage design evolution and ensure issues are resolved proactively

 


Qualifications :

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Extensive experience in civil/structural infrastructure design
  • Proven stakeholder management across internal and external teams
  • Experience managing design change processes on active sites
  • Familiar with NEC contracts CDM Regulations and compliance standards
  • Knowledge of design interface coordination across disciplines
  • Understanding of nuclear or other highly regulated industries
  • Strong engineering judgment and leadership under pressure

Desired Skills

  • Experience with Navisworks Tekla or Revit
  • Familiarity with BIM coordination tools and methodologies
  • Understanding of nuclear safety culture and technical governance
  • Chartered status or working towards it
  • Ability to lead technically diverse teams across multiple packages
