Job Description
Are you interested in joining a buyside firm Our client a prominent high-frequency trading (HFT) firm is seeking talented trading support professionals to join their dynamic team. As trading volumes continue to rise they are enhancing their trading systems and expanding their development team creating a demand for skilled trading support. What Youll Do:
- Take ownership of critical incidents by identifying root causes mitigating impacts and leading post-mortem reviews to prevent future occurrences.
- Ensure the smooth operation of distributed multi-server trading systems.
- Serve as the primary expert for traders providing hands-on support on the trading floor and direct application assistance.
- Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) coordination and manage production software releases to maintain system stability and performance.
- Collaborate with Operations and Development teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.
- Design and implement effective monitoring and logging solutions to enhance system reliability and visibility.
- Automate and optimize workflows by developing scripts and tools that drive operational excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement by proactively identifying gaps and recommending better processes or tools.
- Participate in occasional after-hours support and testing as needed to ensure seamless operations.
What You Bring:
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in trading support or a similar technical role.
- Proficiency in Linux environments and scripting languages (e.g. Python Perl or PHP).
- A proven ability to drive change and achieve results in a collaborative environment.
- Exceptional communication skills in English both written and verbal.
- A passion for automation and building scalable standards-based solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment.
