Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Ruby Developer to join our development team. You will be responsible for designing building and maintaining efficient reusable and reliable Ruby code. Your work will directly contribute to the success of our web applications and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Design develop and maintain robust Ruby applications

Build APIs and back-end components for web and mobile applications

Optimize applications for performance scalability and security

Integrate data storage solutions (SQL and NoSQL databases)

Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle

Write clean maintainable and testable code following best practices

Collaborate with front-end developers designers and product managers
-
Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers

Troubleshoot debug and improve existing applications
Requirements
-
Proven experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails (RoR) framework

Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP)

Experience working with RESTful APIs

Proficiency with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL MySQL)

Familiarity with Git and version control workflows

Understanding of automated testing and test-driven development (TDD)

Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field or equivalent practical experience
Nice to Have

Experience with front-end technologies (HTML CSS JavaScript)

Familiarity with cloud services (e.g. AWS Heroku)

Knowledge of background job processing (Sidekiq Resque etc.)

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools

Contribution to open-source Ruby projects or active GitHub portfolio
