Job Description
Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Process Engineer to join our team in Pullman Washington.
This role will focus on supporting and optimizing through-hole soldering processes including Wave Solder and Selective Solder technologies.
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and data-driven professional with a strong commitment to excellence in customer service. In addition to technical expertise this position requires demonstrated leadership capabilities as it involves mentoring and guiding a team of engineers and technicians to achieve operational and quality objectives.
As a Lead Process Engineer a typical day will include the following:
Lead engineers associate engineers and technicians in the expansion development deployment and sustainment of manufacturing processes.
Mentoring and coaching other engineers and technicians.
Assist management in developing and driving the execution of operational and strategic objectives.
Drive high quality and efficiency in the manufacturing processes operations and tools.
Manages or prepares documentation including experiments component and equipment qualifications assembly materials qualifications etc.
Model teach and apply SEL Values Principles of Operations and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
Understand. Create. Simplify.
Other duties as assigned.
This role might be for you if you have:
B.S. Degree or equivalent
3-5 years experience in electronic manufacturing processes and surface mount technology and equipment
Leadership and communication skills
Strong writing documentation and speaking skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)

Salary Range Data:
We anticipate filling this position as a Lead Process Engineer: $79.400 - $124000 per year. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job responsibility and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience training knowledge and skills.
