Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

This role supports finance and accounting responsibilities at three Polaris Central Manufacturing plants located in Osceola WI Monticello MN and Battleground WA. This role also supports FP&A and accounting duties for the Central Operations Administration function. This role reports to the Director of Finance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support Central Plant teams in month-end close standardized reporting/procedures and synergies. This includes potential day trips to the various plant locations during month-end close or when needed (2-3 days per month).
  • Execute various month-end close entries ensuring that financial results are complete accurate and prepared consistent with corporate policies
  • Support effective internal controls including SOX compliance with both internal and external auditors
  • Drive process automation and enhanced monthly reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners at varying management levels to budget forecast and review actual results for the Central Operations Administration function.
  • Become an integral part of the business team providing leadership and functional expertise wherever needed; solicit feedback and provide closed-loop communication system to enhance quality of service
  • Perform miscellaneous projects and tasks as assigned

SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
  • 3-5 years accounting/finance experience
  • Analytical mindset with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated integrity and sound decision-making
  • Strong personal drive initiative and persistence
  • Self-starter with the flexibility to work independently with minimal supervision or in a group environment
  • Proven experience working and communicating effectively with all levels of management
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions and across cultures
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills to all levels of the organization
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proactive independent thinker who will continuously look for ways to improve processes
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables; experience with MAPICS and/or OneStream is a plus

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Standard fast-paced office environment
  • Hybrid work environment (4 days/week average in office)
  • Some travel required. Mostly local day trips by car but may include periodic trips out of state.

The pay range for Minnesota is $80000 to $111000 per year. Individual salaries are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education experience knowledge skills and geography.
