Job Description

Established in 2013 Sapphire Utility Solutions has quickly become the partner of choice for many clients across the UK in our chosen markets.


About the Role:


We are seeking a Highways Operative to join our team on our Highways workstream. You will be working closely with a HGV Highways Operative to clean along the highways.


  • Location: Manchester
  • Hours: 50 hours per week (Monday to Friday 6am-4pm day shift however flexibility is required if night shifts need to be covered
  • Salary: Up to 35698 dependent on experience
  • Weekly Pay


Responsibilities:


  • Inspect drainage systems to identify blockages leaks or damage that could hinder water flow.
  • Use the high-powered suction equipment to remove debris silt leaves and waste from gullies.
  • Work closely with our Traffic Management department planning routes along the highways
  • Maintain and operate the vehicles associated machinery including pumps hoses and suction equipment.
  • Competent in using an electronic device - laptop / tablet for data entry purposes
  • Ensuring safety issues are reported in line with company procedures
  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing of high-powered suction equipment to ensure it is in proper working order.


Requirements for the role:


  • Competent in IT accurate data entry
  • Team player
  • Positive can-do attitude


*Full training required or a level of competency in the following: Jetting/SLG/First Aid/Manual Handling/Confined Spaces.*
