Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Bromley to assist with the appointment of an Administrative Officer on a 3-month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 13.11 - 16.94 per hour

Hours Per Week :18.00

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Administrative Officer to join our Childrens Contact Centre Service (CCCS) within Bromleys Early Intervention and Family Support Service. This is a busy customer-facing role that requires excellent communication interpersonal and organisational skills. The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative support to the CCCS and wider team ensuring the smooth operation of services that support vulnerable families.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for enquiries via telephone letter or in person handling these with professionalism and care.
  • Manage and process financial transactions in line with council regulations including service user payments and purchase orders.
  • Accurately input and manage sensitive data using both electronic systems and paper-based records.
  • Provide administrative support such as filing photocopying minute-taking and preparation of meeting documents.
  • Arrange and coordinate meetings including room bookings and communications with attendees.

Qualifications:

  • Level 2 qualification including English and Maths (or equivalent experience).

Experience:
  • Previous administrative experience supporting a large team.
  • Experience dealing with service users colleagues and external agencies in person and via telephone/email.
  • Practical experience using Microsoft Office Suite and maintaining databases.
  • Handling financial and procurement procedures.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Basic DBS
