Job Description

Wellness Program Development and Engagement Coordinator
JOB SUMMARY

The Wellness Program Development and Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role in fostering wellness and community engagement. This position will serve as a leader in the areas of wellness education health awareness and community involvement for the ACHE Research Institute Health and Wellness Center by keeping up to date on best practices trends programs; and overseeing local and regional initiatives. This position will enhance the RIHWC presence in the community with stakeholders and the region. The Wellness Program Development and Engagement Coordinator will work towards increasing community partnerships maintaining existing partnerships and assist in all aspects including managing correspondence scheduling/ staffing as it relates to programming at the ACHE Research Institute Health and Wellness Center. The Wellness Program Development and Engagement Coordinator will also assist the Senior Executive Director of Transformative Wellness Initiatives in developing programs and opportunities that include assessment and evaluation to determine effectiveness and impact.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide coordination and programming for school-based education programs and school age based initiatives at the RIHWC
  • Maintain Acuity for RIHWC programming and stay current with software updates used by ACHE
  • Assist the Senior Executive Director with purchasing materials and supplies needed for the RIHWC
  • Provide coordination and serve as the point person for programming including outreach and community-based research; build volunteer capacity and community networks in support of the programs working with community partners on volunteer management recruitment and training
  • Actively assist in engaging ACHE students in RIHWC events activities and projects
  • Conduct preliminary background research including demographics patterns barriers to identify target programs and grant funding mechanisms for community-based programs
  • Coordinate and monitor program oversite with multi-disciplinary teams in the community
  • Maintain and assist in creating new collaborative relationships working with representatives from government financial institutions civic and community organizations
  • Represent ACHE RIHWC at meetings events presentations and other such activities as requested or required by the Senior Executive Director
  • Assist the Senior Executive Director in managing the implementation of Memoranda of Understanding with communities to meet shared expectations and responsibilities based on alignment that advance common initiatives and programs
  • Complete process for background checks as needed
  • Assist with research and program evaluation for RIHWC programs and initiatives
  • Assist in establishing cultivating and maintaining relationships with community partners foundations and corporations that increase community engagement and program participation at RIHWC
  • Create marketing materials in collaboration with the ACHE Marketing team for RIHWC programming and events
  • Create a system for collecting community contacts and event attendees to assist in the evaluation of programming
  • Communicate with ACHE Marketing to ensure a strong and updated community website presence for the RIHWC
  • Assist the Senior Executive Director in completing and maintaining reporting documents for grants awarded to RIHWC.
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager or their designee
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS

Education and Experience
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree
  • Five (5) years experience with Arkansas Education Standards
  • Five (5) years experience with nonprofit organizations
  • Five (5) years experience organizing leadership meetings forums strategic planning
  • Event planning community activities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of community outreach and engagement
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters degree
  • Five (5) or more years experience working with nonprofit
  • Five (5) or more years experience in event planning
  • Five (5) or more years experience in development management monitoring and evaluation of community outreach programming
  • Demonstration of successful grant applications and acquisitions
Required knowledge skills and abilities
  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills i.e. Microsoft Office.
  • Display professionalism for the college in all communication and interaction.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize numerous and varied assignments.

  • May be exposed to short intermittent and/or prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing in performance of job duties.
  • May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment/supplies to include but not limited to pens pencils calculators computer keyboards telephone etc.
  • May be required to transport oneself to other campus offices conference rooms and on occasion to off-campus sites to attend meetings conferences workshops seminars etc.
  • May require significant travel or work away from campus.
  • Requires attendance at events representing ACHE both within as well as outside of the college setting.
  • Frequently required to work at a desk conference table or in meetings of various configurations.
  • Frequently required to see for purposes of reading matter.
  • Frequently required to hear and understand speech at normal levels.
  • Occasionally required to lift items in a normal office environment.
  • Frequently required to operate office and presentation equipment.
