Are you ready to take your logistics career to the next level Collins Aerospace is looking for a Materials Associate I (N-Ray) to join our team in Fairfield CA.

As a Material Associate Technician (N-Ray) youll play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of energetic and inert materials for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT). Your expertise will be crucial in setting up packing and transporting these materials with precision and care.

What You Will Do

• Setup of various explosive parts for N-Ray in accordance with applicable requirements and specifications while applying a high level of organization time management and attention to detail

• Follow written procedures specifications and guidelines with attention to detail.

• Utilization of the appropriate tooling in accordance to written procedures.

• Produce appropriate identification DODIC/Lot labels/Serial Number Labels.

• Accurate placement of labels as directed and trained.

• Proper identification of completed setups ready for transportation.

• Production of the appropriate documents and distribution of documents once ready for transportation.

• Properly receive and document upon the return of the finished orders.

• Maintain a clean and organized work cell following 5S principals.

• Ensure compliance with all DOT 49 CFR regulations for hazardous shipments.

• May be required to handle tasks involving the lifting or movement of heavy parts or equipment weighing up to 35 pounds with the assurance that reasonable accommodation will be provided.

• Able to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires High School Diploma (or equivalent e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline.

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF) access.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) experience required.

• Prior SAP experience preferred.

• Lean Six Sigma program experience preferred.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 35537 USD 66651 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
