Project Overview: Craig Technologies is the Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) partner on the Craig Technologies & Northrop Grumman team to deliver the Sentinel Program which is modernizing the ground-based leg of the U.S. nuclear deterrent triad including intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) systems and launch infrastructure. Craig Technologiess scope of service in Sentinels current Engineering & Manufacturing Development phase focuses on the ground infrastructure component of the program.

Job Summary: In this role you will plan develop design coordinate and review architectural work on large projects with unique requirements. You will prepare discipline estimates and work plans review and approve design documents interpret regulations and assist with performance reporting. Your recommendations for resolving complex issues will help ensure client satisfaction with a projects architectural aspects.
In this role as Senior Architect you will support the design for the project. This will entail originating/checking specifications building code analyses material requisitions and technical studies or reports. Additionally checking of design drawings and review and coordination of vendor information and leading technical discussions and constructability reviews. #LI-SF1
Major Responsibilities: Plans schedules conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the architectural work to include the preparation of original designslayouts details drawings and specifications using independent judgment in makingadaptations and modifications Analyzes problems with conflicting design requirements sketches ideas and possiblesolutions Analyzes and reports on the suitability of unconventional materials techniques and/or difficultcoordination requirements Prepares or assists in the preparation of cost estimates quantity take-offs for proposalsforecasts and change orders Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies designs reports or proposals Prepares letters to vendors and clients Plans coordinates or prepares equipment work and material specifications bid evaluationsand award recommendations Coordinates architectural efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups engineeringdisciplines the client vendor contractors construction and other functional groups Prepares procurement and subcontract requisition documents and performs associatedtechnical bid evaluations with award recommendations When delegated provides guidance to other architectural personnel for specific tasks orproject-subgroups Evaluates selects and applies standard Architectural methods techniques procedures and criteria using independent judgement in making adaptations and modifications Designs facility layouts and architectural details Performs building code analyses and compliance 3D modeling and renderings Coordinates work and collaborates with other engineering disciplines procurement and construction Assists in the preparation of cost estimates quantity take-offs for proposals forecasts and change orders Coordinates architectural efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups engineering disciplines the client vendor contractors construction and other functional groups Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies designs renderings reports or proposals Provides technical assistance to other Architectural personnel and interacts with project functions the customer and regulatory agency personnel in the resolution of complex regulatory issues and industry codes and standards Assist in constructability reviews Prepares project designs and plans using 3D modeling software Support construction by dispositioning field change requests and nonconformance reports Act as a mentor or coach for subordinate architects and designers Lead and/or participate in technical discussions with client suppliers construction etc.
Education and Experience Requirements: Requires a bachelors degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Prior experience in facility design/layout and details building code analyses Revit modeling and renderings Experience with CADD applications such as Revit Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel Thorough knowledge of engineering deliverables such as drawings specifications and material requisitions and construction methods Understands work processes of other disciplines and departments on projects Ability to express technical issues in a clear and concise manner both written and verbally Ability to resolve design issues with subordinates suppliers other engineering disciplines construction and the client
Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in Architecture Prior experience working with government agencies preferably the Department of Defense Experience with procurement automation tools Thorough knowledge of developing CSI Masterformat specifications or SpecsIntact Design experience with Unified Facilities Criteria and the Whole Building Design Guide
The salary range for this role is $86000 $130000; however Craig Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer for employment including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience education/training and preferred skills and knowledge.
