Responsibilities
Position Purpose: This position is responsible for developing leading managing Real-time Enterprise Market Data and Pricing department to harness and leverage the firms Market data and Pricing assets. This role will actively collaborate with various business streams to streamline market data sourcing standardize delivery of Real time & Delayed Streaming and architecting and building pricing solutions for various business entities. Establishes and implements processes standards and KPIs for Market Data Engineering Statistical Analytics Business Intelligence with attention to all technical aspects.
Primary duties will include:
- Establishes team deliverables project scope with attention to details both for data (exchange ref security master) and technical aspects.
- Leads the software development life cycle (SDLC) for the team including planning analysis code design development testing debugging and maintenance.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the real-time team of 10 Engineers QA engineers and product owners.
- Defines practices and disciplines to build a consistent successful software delivery methodology.
- Understands market data system protocols like Refinitiv (TREP) Bloomberg B-Pipe how systems operate and data flows. Aware of current and emerging technology tools and their benefits. Understands the building blocks interactions dependencies and tools required to complete software and automation work. Independent study of evolving technology is expected.
- Engages with business tech users to implement standard delivery mechanism for Streaming data efficiently and with high quality.
- Develop POC pricing services involving data acquisition calculation and delivery to database streaming output or GUI as defined in the business requirements.
- Strong focus on innovation and enablement contributes to designs to implement data pipelines for structured and unstructured data and deliver effective and efficient technical solution.
- Ability to understand capital market business problems study and transform data as needed.
- In collaboration with other streams and spokes define key data domains and attributes to help standardize the data model to drive data quality across the global enterprise.
- Define an actionable data quality index to continuously monitor the quality of StoneX strategic data assets.
- Coordinate with other teams within Data Services and broader business partners to ensure providing quality data in coordination with established business needs.
Qualifications
To land this role you will need:
- 7 years of experience in Market Data Architecture Data Management efficient Storage and retrieval and/or Production Support across large enterprises.
- 5 years of hands-on Real-time development experience in capital markets / trading industry focused on market data collection ingestion and fan out distribution of market data.
- 3 years of experience in running distributed global teams of highly qualified technical performers
- Proficiency in C and development of multi-threaded applications for real-time data delivery.
- Strong understanding of Enterprise architecture patterns Object Oriented & Service Oriented principles design patterns industry best practices.
- Experience in market data protocols industry standard vendors like Refinitv (TREP setup) Bloomberg (B-Pipe)
- Experience facilitating discussions and resolving issues across a diverse set of cross functional business & IT stakeholders.
- Strong leadership & persuasive communication skills. Strong influencing and mentoring skills; demonstrated success in building credibility with peers and key stakeholders (Both IT & Business) to drive the action and change.
- Foundation knowledge of Data Structures Algorithms and Designing for performance.
- Excellent communications skills and ability to work with business to extract critical concepts and transform into technical task items
- Minimum BS degree in Computer Science or related field MS is preferred
Education/Certification:
- Min. BS degree in Computer Science or related field MS is preferred.
