Director Intelligence Community (IC)
The Director Intelligence Community (IC) is a strategic leadership role focused on expanding Core Ones presence across the U.S. Intelligence Communitywith specific emphasis on direct support to a restricted-access national security agency. This position is built for a leader with firsthand experience in high-trust mission environmentssomeone who has operated within the walls of the mission itself not just supported it from the outside. Candidates must bring a deep understanding of agency tradecraft operational tempo and classified workflows and be able to engage credibly with senior mission stakeholders. Mission and operational credentials will be prioritized over traditional government contracting experience.
This is a high-ownership role for a strategic operator who can shape opportunities build lasting mission relationships and drive enterprise value in support of sensitive and evolving intelligence priorities. The role may evolve into direct program leadership as key opportunities are awarded.
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Strategic Access
- Build and sustain trusted relationships with leadership and mission stakeholders across the Intelligence Communitywith priority on restricted-access and operationally focused agencies.
- Leverage existing credibility and mission experience to create authentic engagement at both working and senior levels.
- Translate strategic priorities from inside the mission into actionable access teaming and positioning strategies.
- Act as a bridge between mission needs and Core Ones internal solutioning technical and training teams.
- Represent Core One at industry sessions classified briefings and informal engagements where mission priorities are discussed and shaped.
Solution Development & Capture Strategy
- Lead or support captures and solutioning efforts aligned to priority IC pursuits particularly in training analysis and operational enablement.
- Shape solutions rooted in lived mission experience.
- Partner with SMEs and proposal teams to develop credible mission-aligned responses to formal RFPs and informal outreach.
- Contribute to Black Hats gate reviews and proposal reviews with insights grounded in real-world mission understanding.
Program Alignment & Growth Execution
- Identify upcoming recompetes task order releases and strategic growth areas within accounts tied to restricted IC customers.
- Coordinate closely with Recruiting and P&L leaders to ensure proposed solutions are staffed with mission-relevant talent.
- Serve as a program lead-in-waiting for high-priority opportunities ensuring a smooth transition from capture to execution.
- Inform long-range account planning investment strategy and workforce alignment in support of multi-year IC growth initiatives.
Qualifications
Required:
- Direct mission experience supporting a restricted-access U.S. intelligence agencyin an operational analytical or training capacity. This includes service as a government civilian active duty or embedded contractor.
- Active Top Secret clearance with polygraph.
- Minimum 7 years supporting national security missions within the IC; candidates with embedded or on-site mission roles will be given priority over traditional contracting-only backgrounds. We will work with candidates to develop their government contacting knowledge and leverage the experience of our team.
- Proven ability to operate with credibility in classified mission spaces build trust with senior IC leaders and translate evolving mission needs into executable strategies.
- Strong communication and engagement skills across both working and senior executive levels.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in dynamic high-stakesenvironments.
- Willingness to travel (25%) to DC-area and other government locations as required.
Preferred:
- Experience inside mission centers and training pipelines of a restricted IC agency.
- Capture or program leadership on contracts >$25M in value.
- Prior leadership role in classified training or analytic enablement programs.
