Description

Clean Harborsis looking for aHazardous Materials Technician Floater (Insite Chemist)to join their safety conscious team. This person would be responsible forthe performance of tasks associated with collecting segregating packing and preparing for shipment of hazardous waste in accordance with our company policies and procedures at our client locationsin the Central Oregon area and occasionally the Portland Metro area.

*Training will be held in Portland Metro area for the first month of employment. Candidates must be willing to stay in the area for the entire duration of the training period. *

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices policies and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Make chemical pickups throughoutcustomer facility as directed;
  • Conduct chemicalbulking/consolidationasrequired;
  • Proper loading packing and segregation ofwastetomaximize efficiency and maintain compliance;
  • Ensure work area maintainedinaneat and orderly manner;
  • Assisting other Chemists with the execution of assigned lab pack projects;
  • Participate in spill responseoncustomers site as needed.


Qualifications

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required;
  • Hazardous waste experience preferred;
  • Willingness to obtain CDL highly preferred
  • Willingness to travel 5-6 times a month
  • Valid Drivers License and clean Motor Vehicle Record.
