Raytheons Operations and Mission Analysis Department within Engineering Technologys Integrated Solutions Modeling & Architecture (ISMA) Directorate is chartered to define architect analyze and implement complex system-of-system solutions to multi-domain operational challenges supporting all mission areas at Raytheon. Our department is currently hiring for a Senior Principal Systems Engineer Operations Analysis to develop analyze and grade flexible integration solutions crossing all product areas (sensors effectors command and control logistics and operations) develop tools and methods to evaluate campaign mission and system level analysis and visualizations based on customer requirements.

This is an onsite role located in El Segundo CA.

What You Will Do

  • Support multiple IRADs CR&Ds and programs in both air and space domains as part team of Integrated Solutions & Modeling Architecture engineering team
  • Responsible for the development and integration of variable-fidelity computer models and simulations that effectively capture system and system of systems effects in complex threat environments. These models will generate virtual and/or analytical solutions to identify technology gaps demonstrate the operational benefits of new mission concepts (e.g. Manned-Unmanned Teaming) in complex operational scenarios develop requirements test systems and train operators.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and business alignment.
  • Evaluation of end-to-end system needs to discover system interfaces and data connectivity requirements across the kill-chain (e.g. ensuring sensors can talk to shooters)
  • Modeling of system and mission kill chains (e.g. intercepting a threatening ballistic missile) with tools such as Government Commercial and Raytheon simulations (e.g. AFSIM STK)
  • Development of metrics and results products that communicate the chain of events that led to an action.
  • Implementation of algorithms to provide next-generation performance across the entire system of systems.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with radar (RF) electro optical (EO) and/or infrared (IR) sensing systems.
  • Experience with scripting languages Python MATLAB and/or Perl
  • Experience with AFSIM
  • Military Operations Analysis wargaming and/or Modeling & Simulation experience in the defense industry

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Advanced degree in STEM (and can be considered as additional experience)
  • Experience with Numerical Optimization Techniques Analysis of Alternatives or Design of Experiments.
  • Experience providing briefs and presentations to US government customers
  • Experience with programming languages such as C C

The salary range for this role is 137000 USD - 275000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
