The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense & Space (BDS) is currently hiring a Systems Engineering Mission Systems Manager located in Oklahoma City OK to support the B-1 Platform.
Position Responsibilities:
Duties will depend on the phase of program and are included but not limited to:
Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Mission Systems for the B-1 Platform.
Develops and executes project and process plans implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
Acquires resources for projects and processes provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes.
Manages develops and motivates employees.
Serve as engineering leader for Mission Systems processes and products on the program.
Understand various statements of work to prepare schedule coordinate assign and monitor engineering tasks.
Plan identify and coordinate resources required to accomplish engineering tasks over the life of a program.
Compare actual results to baseline plans to assess team performance efficiencies productivity and lessons learned.
Identify corrective actions to improve project or team performance.
Leverage Risk Issue and Opportunity Management process.
Support developing talent for current and anticipated programs and product lines.
Support design reviews analyses simulations and component / system testing to ensure delivery of products that meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations.
Participate in new business development efforts.
Work under general supervision.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry
3 years experience leading engineering teams
3 years experience with RIO (Risks Issues and Opportunities) processes and tools
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Current active Secret U.S. Security Clearance
Experience working Communications and Navigation programs on USAF platforms
4 years of experience applying Mission Systems principles during the development of complex hardware/software solutions on an aerospace platform
3 years of experience leading multiple parallel schedules; managing complex integrated schedules or projects
Experience or coursework working with aircraft missile spacecraft autonomous platform or similar vehicle
Experience supporting engineering design reviews including SRR SFR PDR and CDR as well as aircraft test events
Experience delivering products that meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations
