Job Description
The Archdiocese of Baltimore Maryland is seeking a full-time religion teacher. Our teachers are responsible for planning and implementing standards-based lessons as prescribed by the Archdiocese of Baltimore. This position teaches religion to 6th 7th and 8th graders and chairs the schools Catholic Identity Program.
Essential Functions
- Follow the guidelines and tenants of the Catholic Church and the curriculum of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
- Create and implement lesson plans with clear objectives in line with the Archdiocesan Course of Study utilizing techniques to motivate challenge engage and inspire students to think confidently and independently.
- Be responsible for the safety and active supervision of students.
- Integrate the use of technology effectively into the curriculum.
- Communicate with parents in a professional and timely manner.
- Perform recess and lunch duties as scheduled.
- Support the Catholic spirituality and mission of the school.
- Attend various school events such as Back to School Night graduation and Open House.
Position Qualifications
- Must be an active practicing Catholic fully able to participate in the life of the church
- Maryland certified or willing to pursue MD certification.
- A minimum of a Bachelors degree.
Range:$48000 - $85000 Annualized
