POSITION SCOPE
The Dozer Operator will be responsible for operating a D6 dozer to efficiently and effectively construct embankment and fill areas on a project.
This position may include day or night shift work travel overtime and weekend work.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Safe and efficient operation of D6 dozer to meet production targets
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities
- Maintain heavy equipment in good operating condition reporting and logging maintenance requirements or concerns
- Complete production reporting and other documentation as required
- Communicate effectively and professionally with other team members
- Safety Safety Safety comply with all OSHA and company policies procedures and standards of safety
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years of earth moving experience
- Must have GPS experience
- Valid Drivers License
- Acceptable MVR in accordance with Fishers Company Vehicle Program policy
- OSHA certification or willingness to obtain certification - company will pay for certification
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to follow and enforce safe work practices
- Self-directed and can work independently with minimal supervision
- Extended out-of-town travel night shift and/or weekend work may be required
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
