Responsibilities

Pharmacokinetic Core Laboratory Technician Newly established PK Core Lab is seeking a Research Technician to join our team at BNI! About BNI The Barrow Neurological Institute (BNI) (Phoenix AZ) has been ranked in the top 10 best hospitals for neurology and neurosurgery since the US News and World Reports began reporting such data. The BNI leads the largest pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics-driven clinical trials program for primary brain tumors in the United States. To support the clinical trial program a centralized CAP/CLIA certified Pharmacokinetics Core Laboratory is being developed with the mission of providing state-of-the-art bioanalytic technology and a broad range of pharmacology expertise to enable evaluation of critical pharmacological endpoints in clinical trials. Summary of Position PK Core Laboratory is currently in the process of CAP/CLIA certification and will be supporting healthcare professionals and patients in health management through accurate precise and state of the art testing.
We are looking for a Research Technician to join the PK Core Laboratory team to perform UHPLC and LC-MS/MS analysis of preclinical and clinical samples. This position is responsible for the receipt organization testing and reporting of daily preclinical and patient specimens in a drug PK Core laboratory. The laboratory technician will adhere to protocols and quality measures while performing sample preparation and analyzing preclinical and patient results. This position is full time.
Key responsibilities include
Preparation/handling of biological material for analytical analysis.
Analysis of processed samples employing UHPLC and LC-MS/MS technique.
Analysis review and release of UHPLC and LC-MS/MS data.
General operation maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment including LC-MS.
Complete projects other tasks and assignments as directed by management.
Adhere to all State and Federal guidelines and regulations including compliance with CLIA rules and regulations as well as HIPAA.
Maintain required laboratory documentation. Knowledge Skills and Abilities Experience with analytical and organic chemistry techniques preferably with LC-MS/MS.
Ability to individually prepare lab solutions buffers and drug formulations.
Strong communication skills; verbal and written.
Good organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and cohesively as part of a team.
Competency with Microsoft Office suite.
Education
Bachelors/Masters Degree in Chemistry Pharmaceutical Sciences Medical Sciences or in related disciplines.

Qualifications

Bachelors/Masters Degree in Chemistry Pharmaceutical Sciences Medical Sciences or in related disciplines.

Experience in a research laboratory or equivalent is required.

Experience as an intern or student research technician is preferred.

Must have excellent math skills and fundamental knowledge and background in the biological sciences.
