    Minimum $108335 Maximum PAY GRADE: SO5
    PRIMARY PURPOSE:
    The Supervisor reports to the Director of Bilingual/ESL Programs and is responsible forfacilitating the Districts Bilingual/ESL program and Immigrant Program 6-12.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Masters Degree required
    Valid Texas Mid-management Certificate/Principalship required
    Teacher Certification andEndorsements in Bilingual Education/ESL
    Three years of successful teaching experience required
    Experience in a Bilingual or ESL classroom preferred
    Oral and written Spanish proficiency

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
    Provide technical assistance and program direction to campus principal and all personnelinvolved in the implementation of the Districts Bilingual/ESL and Immigrant Program in grades6-12.
    Assist in the planning conducting and operation of in-service and staff development programsfor personnel delivering Bilingual/ESL and immigrant services.
    Assist secondary campuses with the identification and reporting of Bilingual/ESL and immigrantstudents as it relates to program placement and PEIMS.
    Assist with the maintenance of records and reports for Bilingual/ESL and immigrant programs ingrades 6-12.
    Provide technical assistance to middle and high school campuses on LPAC requirementsprocedures and documentation.
    Assist in the development and implementation of the overall instructional programs for LEP andimmigrant students in grades 6-12.
    Assist with the development and/or revisions of materials and curriculum documents for Bilingualand immigrant students in grades 6-12.
    Systematically monitor and provide feedback on the implementation of Bilingual/ESL and immigrantprograms at the campus level.
    Assist campuses in the evaluation and selection of instructional materials which meet the needsof Bilingual and immigrant students in grades 6-12.
    Coordinate and supervise the summer school programs for (6-12) with district personnel inidentifying and placement of BIL/ESL and immigrant students and in the hiring and training ofsummer school personnel.
    Coordinate with parental involvement department in supporting activities specifically designedfor parents of BIL/ESL and immigrant students in grades 6-12.
    Provide comprehensive support services to immigrant students and their families by coordinatingwith private and public agencies.
    Provide coordination between feeder schools to ensure proper instructional placement of incomingstudents at Middle and High School Campuses.
    Assist the Evaluation and Testing Department in the collection and maintenance of accurateinformation (testing achievement entry/withdrawal etc.) for short term and longitudinal studiesof program effectiveness.
    Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others.
    Perform other related duties as assigned.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel
