Learning Support Center Coordinator
Position Summary
Holy Cross School is seeking a Learning Support Center Coordinator for the 2025-26 academic year. Candidates interested in full or part-time work are encouraged to apply.
This is a 10-month position August through May.
The Principal and Assistant Principal shall determine the specific commitments of the day. Extracurricular commitments are not included in the eight hours. The school year shall consist of 190 days including regular school days in-service days and opening-closing days.
Qualifications
A faculty member must hold at least a bachelors degree from a college or university approved by a regional accrediting organization. A faculty member must hold or be working toward a valid teaching certificate for the State of Louisiana. Ideal candidates will be reading specialists SPED certified hold a MAT or have similar experience and qualifications.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and activities.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and an ability to keep multiple stakeholder groups including parents teachers staff volunteers and other partners informed of activities and schedules.
An ability and enthusiasm for promoting the school and its mission to a broad and diverse group of people.
Excellent work ethic positive attitude flexibility and willingness to perform tasks assigned.
Demonstrates ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students and teachers in school environment and community.
Must pass an extensive background check.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Enhance the academic offerings at Holy Cross by accomplishing the following:
Meet with counselors the academic team and parents to coordinate evaluations and accommodations.
Organize and document the use of the learning support center.
Staff the testing center whenever possible; coordinate substitutes for the testing center when needed.
Modify assessments as needed to support accommodations.
Provide a distraction-free environment for assessments.
Coordinate on-campus speech therapy and/or outside tutoring
Work with small groups of students who are in need of tier 2 interventions.
Coordinate with teachers and parents when students are in need of outside tutoring.
Coordinate makeup work/special accommodations for students who suffer illness injury or special familial distress.
Support curriculum and instruction and Holy Cross by accomplishing the following:
Assign daily substitutes for grades 5-12.
Coordinate with the assistant principal and the director of studies to plan for standardized testing.
Work with the academic team to plan/execute academic policies as needed.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
All work responsibilities are subject to having performance goals and/or targets established as part of the annual performance planning process or as the result of organizational planning.
Compensation
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
