About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Data science Associate Manager
In this role you will:
- Supervise entry-to-mid level individual contributors in roles with low complexity tasks and risks on a range of analytical and predictive modeling data science initiatives that drive and influence objectives and products in addition to improve business performance
- Engage with mid-level management stakeholders and internal partners associated with low complexity data driven insights patterns and recommendations made by the data science team
- Make day-to-day tactical decisions and resolve issues under the direction of senior management to meet business objectives leveraging interpretation of policies and procedures for functions within scope of responsibility
- Identify low complexity opportunities to use data science with a focus on actionable insights which includes leading hypothesis generation around low complex business problems
- Manage and prioritize low complexity projects and maintain necessary processes controls and procedures to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Implement strategies for developing and utilizing advanced analytic data science resources to recommend business solutions and initiatives
- Present actionable insights and recommendations using data provided by the team in a digestible format to a non-technical audience of varying levels
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources
- Be responsible for selection evaluation and development of staff
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of data science experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience training military experience education
- 1 years of leadership experience
- Masters degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics statistics engineering physics economics or computer science
Required Qualifications for Europe Middle East & Africa only:
- Experience in data science or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience training military experience education
- Leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results provide feedback/direction and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment.
Proficient in statistical analysis data visualization tools such as Tableau and programming languages such as Python / SAS / R and SQL
Proven experience in digital marketing with a focus on digital campaigns consumer behavior and market research
Strong understanding and experience working on SEO SEM social media algorithms and other digital marketing channels such as Organic Ads Social Email etc.
Should have experience working with Paid Marketing Pay per click (PPC) placements campaigns etc.
Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders
Proven experience working with large datasets and databases extracting meaningful insights to inform marketing strategies
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels where flexibility collaboration and adaptability are important.
Ability to work cohesively and collaborate with analytic functions throughout the organization
Relationship management experience with business and technology partners
Experience working with complex data environments.
Experience with providing detailed thorough and accurate documentation procedures and repeatability standards.
Ability enforcing accountability for high quality work among a large number of analysts.
Experience in gathering analyzing and interpreting large datasets.
Knowledge and understanding of consumer lending data and analytics.
Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills and strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
