The Basics of a Systems Administrator II:

  • Full-Time Exempt 
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday. Flexibility required for after-hours and occasional weekends for projects.
  • Location: Onsite with potential remote work on Fridays after training is completed.

What youll do as a Systems Administrator II:

In this role you will be responsible for the maintenance configuration and reliable operation of computer systems and servers. You will also actively resolve problems and issues with computer and server systems to limit work disruptions within the company and provide a Top-Tier experience to end users.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as initial contact for Server Support including but not limited to Server  hardware/software VoIP telephony and off-site disaster recovery systems.
  • Maintain and upgrade physical and virtual server as needed.
  • Perform minor equipment maintenance like UPS and temperature sensors etc.
  • Develop and manage automation to distribute software to end points.
  • Identify opportunities and develop group policies to automate and standardize end point configuration.
  • Develop ad hoc scripts to automate tasks on end points such as restarting changing files etc.
  • Administer all in one units (copier scanner printer) to ensure secure intuitive and standardized operations.
  • Address security issues and concerns discovered in vulnerability assessments PEN testing internal audits and National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) examinations. Maintain and monitor security logs.
  • Administer patch management through WSUS and SCCM/MECM and InTune.
  • Administer Software and Inventory management using InTune.
  • Assist with preparation and implementation of long-term projects.
  • Promote and adhere to system policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and security.
  • Renew and maintain digital certificates and domain names.
  • Install and set up workstations as needed. 
  • Provide physical and configuration support for disaster recovery equipment at DR site.
  • Provide helpdesk support to end users when needed.
  • Serve as a backup for administering enterprise systems backup solution.
  • Comply with the credit union Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Policy and Anti Money Laundering and Member Due Diligence Procedures.  The BSA training is to be completed within 90 days of employment and annually thereafter.
  • Complete compliance and career development training as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Must Haves for a Systems Administrator II:

  • Skills: Technical - VMWare and SAN Storage MS Windows Servers TCP/IP & VOIP.  Verbal & Written Communication Customer Service Orientation Attention to Detail Time Management Thorough documentation.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of progressive systems Servers or database administration.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
