- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers negotiate contracts and establish relationships to ensure reliable sources of supply.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide guidance on procurement processes and best practices.
- Monitor market trends supplier performance and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order issuance ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and address any issues or concerns to maintain high levels of supplier performance.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product launches cost reduction initiatives and other strategic projects.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to procurement activities including supplier contracts pricing agreements and purchase orders.
- Stay abreast of relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to procurement activities and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in business supply chain management or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement purchasing or supply chain management with a focus on strategic sourcing and supplier management.
- Proven experience in developing and executing sourcing strategies including supplier identification evaluation and negotiation.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in procurement software systems and tools (e.g. ERP systems e-sourcing platforms).
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
