We are currently seeking a Part Time Cook to join the professional and dynamic kitchen team. You will be working mainly the breakfast shift preparing & serving food for the hotel buffet breakfast and assisting in food prep for our all day dining menu and cafe.
This is a great role for someone studying cookery and wanting some experience in a kitchen or for an experienced cook wanting some extra hours.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Prepare cook and serve food for the breakfast buffet showing variety and flair
- Prepare food for all day dining and cafe
- Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage following stock control procedures
- Inform management of items needing to be ordered
- Keep all working areas clean and tidy. Cook is required to wash all dishes during service
- Ensure all equipment is maintained serviced and cleaned. Report any problems to the manager on duty
Qualifications :
Your Skills and experience include:
- Experience in buffet breakfast service preferred
- Deliver consistent high quality food while maintaining set food cost
- Work in conjunction with service teams to ensure quality product and service to guests
- Have great communication skills & a positive attitude
- Have excellent planning and organisational skills
- Have willingness to learn and go above and beyond for our guests
- Food Safety Supervisor certificate or willingness to obtain
