Job Description

This is a rare Band 1 senior executive opportunity to shape and lead the enterprise security architecture for one of NSWs most influential departmentsdriving secure digital transformation across critical infrastructure housing and planning initiatives.

As the Chief Security Architect youll work directly with the CISO and senior executives influencing whole-of-government cyber security strategies and ensuring alignment with cutting-edge enterprise architecture practices. Youll lead a team of senior and mid-level security architects fostering innovation and embedding security into the digital and cultural DNA of our Department.

About You

You are a strategic and forward-thinking security leader with deep expertise in enterprise security architecture and a proven ability to safeguard complex digital ecosystems. With mastery of frameworks such as SABSA TOAGF NIST and ISO 27001 you design and implement secure scalable and resilient IT solutions that align with organisational goals.

You are known for yourthought leadership in developing pragmatic security solutions that balance robust protection with business agility ensuring security is an enablernot a barrierto innovation. Your ability to build trust and influence at all levels is underpinned bystrong stakeholder management skills allowing you to align diverse interests and drive consensus on critical security initiatives.

You thrive in dynamic environments where your ability to think critically solve complex problems and influence senior stakeholders ensures that security is embedded into every layer of digital transformation. Your leadership style is collaborative and empoweringyou mentor high-performing teams foster innovation and drive a culture of continuous improvement and cyber resilience.
