As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Banks Global Banking Tech Group youlead multiple teams and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your teams work adheres to compliance standards business requirements and tactical best practices.
Job responsibilities
- Participate in design and develop scalable and resilient systems in a timely manner using Document Automation tool - Use HotDocs to contribute to continual iterative improvements for product teams
- Design write comment and unit test code to confirm software modules are of the highest quality
- Collaborate with teams in multiple regions and time zones
- Participate in scrum team stand-ups code reviews and other ceremonies contribute to task completion and blocker resolution within your team
- Maintain technical acumen by pursuing formal and informal learning opportunities about technology JPMorgan Chase products and financial services
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to improve delivery flow across product and technology
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience. In addition demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience
- Minimum of 8 years of Application work experience throughout the entire Software Development Lifecycle
- Experience with HotDocs Document Automation vendor software or similar template based program development tools
- Familiarity with Agile concepts including Scrum JIRA Issue Tracking and Sprint Retrospectives
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite particularly Word and its various uses
- Familiarity with Tortoise-Git JIRA BitBucket as change management tools
- Use of Notepad to read understand and modify XML files
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Strong testing and debugging skills strong focus on project delivery
- Experience in creating and managing development work plans knowledge of version control practices and procedures
- Passion and ability to learn new technology and software tools
- Ability to function in small team environment without daily direction needed
