Job Description
Mater Dei High School a Catholic co-educational college preparatory high school of the Diocese of Orange has an opening for a Head Sailing Coach. This position will start July 1 2025.
The Head Sailing Coach position is responsible for developing and leading a competitive and sustainable sailing program. This role includes coaching responsibilities but its primary focus is on program development team logistics administration travel coordination budget management fundraising efforts and staffing. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker strong communicator and experienced leader in the sailing community. Nights weekends and travel will be position works in coordination with the Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club.
Education and Experience: Bachelors degree preferred. Proven experience in competitive sailing and coaching ideally at the high school collegiate or elite club level. Working knowledge of CFJ C420 ILCA and keelboats working knowledge of fleet match and team racing styles and demonstration of understanding of Notice of Race (N.O.R.) Sailing Instructions.
Hours: August June. Hours will vary.
Stipend: $40000 based on experience.
