Job Description
This position is a Part-Time Day Shift position working weekends from 11 am to 11 pm.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Determine appropriateness for admission to an Acadia facility by reviewing pre-admission screenings medical and clinical records and all other patient information.
- Review prospective admissions against approved admission criteria policies and procedures.
- Conduct nurse-to-nurse reviews with outside hospitals/facilities to determine potential patient eligibility for an Acadia facility.
- Perform additional telephonic screenings of prospective patients to determine eligibility for admission when more information is needed.
- Collaborate with facility medical and psychiatric personnel onsite to maintain up-to-date medical and clinical admissions criteria for screening incoming patients.
- Support multiple facilities admissions functions within a given region to promptly assist clients and their familys seeking treatment.
- Initiate contact to gather required clinical and demographic data from patient and other sources.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of Associates Degree in Nursing
- Minimum of one year experience working with individuals in a clinical or observational capacity preferably in the area of specialty for the facilities within a specific region.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
- First aid may be required based on state or facility.
