Core Duties and Responsibilities: Manage and support a high-caliber team of approximately 15 teachers through consistent feedback and development Assume personal responsibility for the academic progress of all students and set clear expectations and standards for excellent teachingBuild the capacity of teachers use of assessment data to inform instructionConduct weekly observations (30 min.) and coaching feedback sessions (30 min.) for direct reportsEvaluate teachers in calibration with LHS administration and VPA Supervisor through formative and summative evaluations using MA state rubricSet and uphold consistently high academic and behavioral expectations for students and staffProvide facilitation as well as guidance and support to LHS VPA staff for district initiatives and performances in the artsCreate scope and sequence for year-long staff PD in collaboration with VPA Expert Educator and VPA SupervisorSeek out and create PD opportunities for yourself and teachers aligned to future goals and trajectory (coordination of learning walks external PD conferences or workshops etc.)Additional tasks required by the Supervisor of Visual and Performing Arts and/or LHS administration
