The Moses Lake School District is seeking applications for a Middle School Science Teacher. Submit online application with all required documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Washington State teacher certificate K-8 and 4-12 Science endorsement required must meet highly qualified teacher definition.
- Undergraduate major or graduate degree in Science.
- Willingness to work in co-curricular program
- Demonstrated understanding of research-based instructional strategies and assessment practices that support effective instruction.
- Recent successful experience working with educators in demonstrating and modeling effective instructional strategies and assessment practices.
- Demonstrated knowledge of needs of diverse learners and strategies for addressing these needs.
- Understanding of appropriate local and state standards.
- Maintain integrity of confidential information relating to students staff and district patrons.
- Evidence/demonstration of use of technology to enhance student learning or willingness to learn.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and commitment to follow through on tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with students teachers school administrators support personnel and community members.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.

- Coordinate and train paraeducators as necessary in literacy curriculum.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- May be required to travel between buildings and occasionally attend workshops and conferences within the region or state.
- Required to work flexible hours and schedule which may include some evenings. Expected to prepare the classroom for the start of school and prepare the workspace or room for summer cleaning after the last day of school.
- Classroom/office environmentthat includes frequently walking occasional lifting bending stooping kneeling and keyboarding.
