Job Description

Are you looking for a summer job that makes a real impact

At Bell Lumber & Pole were on a mission to radically love and influence livesand were looking for passionate individuals to join us this summer in living out that mission.

We have an exciting opportunity for a temporary Construction Project Manager to develop their skills while overseeing projects at three of our lumber facilities between Broken Bow OK and Gibsland LA. The ideal candidate will be looking for a full-time temporary summer position and have some experience in overseeing construction projects managing relationships with contractors and tracking budgets and timelines. They will travel on a regular basis between Broken Bow OK; DeQueen AR; and Gibsland LA and some overnight stays will be required.

Main responsibilities:

  • Coordinate construction project work between contractors and site leaders
  • Troubleshoot issues and answer questions escalating issues to management
  • Proactively seek updates on budget/timeline/contract details and communicate to relevant parties
  • Drive progress and ensure standards and expectations are met
  • Conduct quality inspections as needed to meet compliance requirements

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Project management or construction project management certification (in-progress or completed) is preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in managing construction projects is preferred as well as proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or other project management tools or software.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills are required as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively. Knowledge of construction industry regulations processes and best practices is preferred.
