Job Title:Manufacturing Electrician

Department: Engineering

Location: Caerphilly (CF83)

Salary: 36000 annual bonus yearly tool allowance

Shifts: Monday Thursday 07:00 16:00 Friday 07:00 12:30

If so were looking for a qualified Electrician to join the engineering team at Catnic based in Caerphilly.

What Youll Be Doing

As part of our close-knit engineering team youll report to the Electrical Engineering Manager and be responsible for keeping our plant and equipment running efficiently. Youll handle day-to-day electrical maintenance carry out preventative work and help implement improvements that make a difference to performance and reliability.

In this role youll:

  • Maintain and repair machinery and support systems to reduce downtime
  • Carry out preventative maintenance to avoid unplanned issues
  • Support improvements to equipment and working processes
  • Play an active role in your own learning and development
  • Help deliver projects and upgrades that improve site performance
  • Work alongside colleagues across departments and support third-party contractors when needed

Your work will help ensure customer orders are met on time safely and to a high standard contributing directly to the success of the wider business.

What Youll Need

To be considered for this opportunity youll need to be a time-served electrician ideally with a recognised qualification in electrical engineering or a related discipline.

You should also have:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • A flexible proactive approach with a focus on safety
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with PLCs and control systems (preferred but not essential)
  • A commitment to continuous improvement
