Designer Mens Workwear
What will you do
A day in the life of Designer for Mens Workwear at Dickies looks a little like this.
The Designer for Dickies Mens Workwear will support the creative vision design strategy and execution for our Mens Workwear categories. This role requires a creative individual with a strong background in apparel design particularly in workwear and a keen understanding of market trends and consumer needs. The Mens Workwear Designer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality price/value functionality and style. This role reports to the Director of Design for Genuine Dickies & Accessories.
Lets break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
Lead the design strategy and execution of innovative and functional workwear apparel and accessories that align with the brands vision and business objectives.
Develop a strong understanding of the market to identify opportunities and threats stay up to date on industry trends competitor activities and retail merchandising practices especially in value-focused retailers like Walmart.
Partner closely with cross functional Workwear team to build the global accessories line ensuring it connects back to their seasonal concepts and collections. This collaboration will help integrate the accessories line with the broader workwear offerings.
Maintain design decks tech packs and other documentation to ensure clear communication and execution of design concepts.
Conduct market research and trend analysis to stay ahead of industry developments and incorporate relevant trends into design concepts.
Ensure all designs meet quality price/cost fit and functional standards with a priority on considering cost and manufacturability.
Foster a creative and collaborative work environment contributing to the development of the design team.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
Present design concepts and collections to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Continuously analyze the category and evaluate design changes needed to improve efficiency relevance profitability and commercial viability.
What do you need to succeed

Additionally while formal education in a related field is great to have we are most interested in your 3-5 years of experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
Emphasis on brand and product storytelling through product design and retail design
Utilize a variety of design elements to articulate high-level impactful artistic vision
Outstanding presentation skills
Knowledge of casual and workwear design and functional product innovation
Knowledge of value engineering
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
Ability to use 2D/3D software including Sketch Up AutoCAD KeyShot PhotoShop InDesign Illustrator and Keynote
Detail-oriented and creative problem solver
3-5 years of design experience

$82080.00 USD - $102600.00 USD annuallyIncentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan sales incentive orcommissionpotential.
