Job Description

Were presenting an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Specialist. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HR professional to oversee multi-state payroll processing administer employee benefits and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. This role also supports employee relations data management in Workday and leads key HR initiatives including leave administration compliance reporting and recognition programs.

This role is based in Milwaukee WI with an in-office schedule of Tuesday through Thursday and remote flexibility on Monday and Friday as business needs allow.

Heres a General Overview of What Youll Be Doing:

  • Oversee and manage our multi-state bi-weekly payroll
  • Manage and lead our benefits programs
  • Assist employees with all payroll benefit and attendance related questions
  • Audit and process monthly benefit invoices
  • Assist with development of employee benefits strategy to ensure programs are market-competitive cost-competitive and aligned with company strategy
  • Administer and track FMLA Disability and other paid leaves
  • Process and maintain employee data in Workday
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and file management of employee personnel files
  • Comply with government regulations and federal contractor requirements such as AAP ACA Vets4212 OSHA Logs and labor law postings.
  • Represent NBF as a brand and culture ambassador
  • Oversee and lead our employee anniversary birthday and recognition programs
  • Report on monthly KPIs
  • Oversee building security and access software

What Were Looking For:

  • 2-4 years of payroll experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of total rewards/benefits experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness
  • A high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with all employees
  • The ability to look beyond the task at hand to see peripheral requirements and make sure these are not overlooked
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organization and follow up skills
  • A positive attitude and demeanor even in difficult circumstances
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
It Would Also be Nice to Have:
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Experience managing a self-insured medical plan
  • Familiarity with Workday
