Summary
The onsite Environment Health & Safety Profession will work in collaboration with the CAE USA EHS team and serve as a site subject matter expert for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations promoting a safe working environment and implementing safety programs and policies at the CAE USA Tampa location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and Implement Safety Policies:Create update and enforce EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local state and federal regulations.
Conduct Safety Inspections:Perform regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Risk Assessment:Conduct risk assessments and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
Training and Education:Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors to promote a culture of safety.
Incident Investigation:Investigate incidents and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
Compliance Monitoring:Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policies and report any non-compliance issues.
Collaboration:Work closely with site management and individual business units to ensure a safe working environment. Foster awareness on EHS lessons-learned at the site level by holding meetings or reviews.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Education:Bachelors degree in occupational health and safety Environmental Science or a related field.
Experience:Minimum of 3 years of experience in a health and safety role preferably in a manufacturing construction or aviation industry.
Due to U.S. Government contract requirements only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Preferred Skills
Strong knowledge of US health and safety regulations (lock out tag out fall protection power industrial trucks).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Abily to communicate effectively across various levels of the organization.
Ability to conduct thorough investigations and risk assessments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Security Responsibilities
Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials in any form. Shall not divulge any information or afford access to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines.
