Job Description
Amazon Operations Technology is looking for an experienced System Development Engineer to join our CIA Onboardings team in Austin TX. In this role you will be solving challenging problems and developing scalable high-performing solutions that require minimal long term sustaining and development.
Our team is responsible for all global core services and infrastructure within the Operations Technology space; our systems span over 100000 Amazonians and hundreds of thousands of IP enabled devices.
Key job responsibilities
In this role:
- You will partner with Systems Engineers Network Engineers and Software Engineers globally to develop simple and efficient technology for our Fulfillment Centers and Transportation Sites.
- You will work with a wide variety of technologies and projects that range from third party enterprise solutions to open source and proprietary inventions.
- Technicians and Engineers worldwide will look to you for mentorship guidance and solutions to complex business problems that are truly unique to Amazon.
- We value performance simplicity and scalability in our designs. In your day-to-day work you will focus on automation of complex tasks to allow our business to scale with customer demand.

The CIA Onboardings team manages the tooling that allows robotics solution owners to integrate their equipment with global warehouse infrastructure. Our team creates frictionless experiences that enable rapid innovation of operation technologies.
Our team consists of highly talented engineers who recognize the importance of their products who value a strong team culture and who benefit from a balanced work-life harmony.

- Experience in automating deploying and supporting large-scale infrastructure
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python Ruby Golang Java C C# Rust
- Experience with Linux/Unix
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
- Experience with distributed systems at scale
