Who You Are:We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Fleet Foreman to oversee the operations and maintenance of our non-medical transport fleet. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in fleet management or transport operations and at least 2 years of supervisory experience. You should be comfortable with technology systems including Microsoft Office and using a cell phone or tablet to document work. You must be able to communicate professionally in person over the phone and through email. You are willing to roll up your sleeves and work alongside the Fleet and Operations teams to conduct basic maintenance cleaning and vehicle assessments. Most importantly you are passionate about helping our patients to have safe and reliable transportation.

What You Will Do:The Fleet Foreman will work with the rest of the Fleet Team to ensure the fleet is managed efficiently safely and cost-effectively while providing exceptional customer service to colleagues vendors and customers. This role requires leadership abilities strong organizational skills and a deep understanding of fleet management operations. You will also make recommendations for repair and replacement to the Operations Manager Fleet. This role reports to the Operations Manager Fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fleet Oversight: Supervise daily operations of our vehicle fleet ensuring that all vehicles are properly maintained compliant with regulations and ready for service.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Manage fleet operations to optimize vehicle utilization and reduce downtime. Coordinate with the dispatch and operations teams to ensure timely service delivery.
  • Maintenance Management: Oversee routine vehicle inspections preventative maintenance and repair schedules to ensure fleet vehicles are in optimal working condition. Work with external vendors and service providers as necessary.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all fleet operations comply with federal state and local regulations including vehicle inspections and safety protocols. Lead efforts to maintain high safety standards and reduce accident rates.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor Fleet Specialists. Provide training and professional development to enhance team performance. Work with the Operations Team to monitor Transporter performance and address any issues or concerns. Foster a positive working relationship with Transporters to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor fleet performance using telematics tracking software and reports. Analyze operational data to identify trends inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Budget & Cost Control: Manage the fleet budget track fuel consumption repair costs and other expenses ensuring operations remain within budget while maximizing cost-effectiveness.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and present regular reports on fleet performance maintenance schedules safety audits and operational improvements to upper management.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that fleet operations align with the companys commitment to providing reliable timely and efficient service to clients. Address and resolve any issues that may arise in the field.
  • Emergency Management: Lead the response to vehicle breakdowns accidents or emergencies coordinating support and ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in fleet management or transportation operations with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Must pass thePhysical Ability Test.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of125 pounds.
  • Strong understanding of fleet management software telematics systems and industry regulations. Experience with Samsara preferred.
  • Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle maintenance repair processes and safety regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required).
  • Ability to work flexible hours and be on call for emergencies as required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Logistics Automotive Technology Business Administration or a related field.
  • Certification in fleet management (e.g. NAFAs CAFM or equivalent).
  • Experience with non-medical transportation services or a similar industry.
