Work Location: Mendota Heights Shop / Office
Job type: Non-Union Full-Time Year-Round (with 2 weeks off over Christmas and New Years)

Primary Job Duties

- Order all parts needed for our shop asphalt plants and equipment.
- Conduct price checking then dispense all parts and notify foremen and mechanics acting as the main point of contact for parts.
- Manage and maintain parts room and inventory.
- Oversee and manage Parts Runner by ensuring they know what their duties and tasks are each day.
- Communicate in a clear and timely fashion.
- Conduct service aging report on Mondays Wednesdays and Fridays.
- Assist with preventative maintenance scheduling and be sure to check hours/mileage on equipment to ensure legitimacy.
- Ensure oil samples are entered daily.
- Monitor and manage the barrel oil stock.
- Maintain a clear fire path in the oil room and uphold BR safety policies and standards.
- Drive implementation of our company Telematics system through input from and collaboration with other team members acting in the best interests of BRs company needs.
- Review and ensure work order information is correct and accurate (tires parts etc.) prior to Shop Clerk entering them and closing them.
- Be the main company contact for rental equipment.
Duties to Aid the Day and Night Shop Foremen
- Assist with scheduling services for equipment and trucks.
- Assist in the completion of data entry for truck and equipment services in a timely manner.
- Be the back-up for and support to Day and Night Shop Foreman by covering shifts or duties when Foremen are busy or not working.
- Provide back-up for the Equipment Dispatcher to assist when busy or to cover shifts.
- Assist with the phone throughout the day.
- Participate in the Saturday work rotation.
- Assist with shop organization as instructed or agreed upon by team.
- Work with the Mechanics and Shop Foremen to help clarify and define processes in the shop.
- Research equipment to build knowledge and understanding as needed.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors dealers and coworkers.
- Be a resource and team player with all field Superintendents and Foremen.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
IDEAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Mechanic experience preferred.
- 5 plus years industry experience required.
- Computer skills are required.
