General Description: The Elementary English as a Second Language Teacher is responsible for teaching English language literacy skills (reading writing speaking and listening) to English Language Learners in grades K-5. Responsibilities:*Supervise instruct and monitor ESL/ELL students utilizing a variety of instructional methodologies and curriculum resources and checklists specifically designed for students. *Planning developing and employ customer service strategies including but not limited to instructional activities in the classroom for ESL/ELL students*Utilizing a variety of instructional methodologies and curriculum resources geared specifically towards ELL students.*Working as a team member utilizing management techniques such as sharing common planning professional development curriculum design and teaching responsibilities to ensure a positive work environment. *Monitor performance planning and analysis in the classroom environment by administering different forms of student assessments and planning instruction for students based on the data from the assessments. *Facilitating and participating in meetings and employing other customer service strategies in order to build knowledge and skills of students and determine and assess how student needs are being met. *Serve as a link between the school students and families. Providing support and sharing information to customers on ESL/ELL matters resolving any service delivery issues and ensuring satisfaction.*Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by the Building Principal Applicant should have: - Proven commitment to educational equity - Proven ability to support MLLs ELD levels 1 - 4. - Proven ability to collaborate and work with multiple teams - Familiarity with grade level standards for elementary - ACCESS experience - Team player.
