We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Controllership Specialist to join our Statutory Audit Centre of Excellence in Warsaw Poland. This role will support the completion of statutory audits for JLL entities based in Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA). You will have the opportunity to develop your skills while working alongside our statutory auditors Grant Thornton and contribute to maintaining financial reporting standards across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the completion of statutory audits for JLL entities in the EMEA region
Collaborate with Grant Thornton our statutory auditors to facilitate audit processes
Prepare statutory financial statements under guidance following local GAAP and IFRS guidelines
Liaise with local finance teams to gather and validate financial data for reporting and audit purposes
Conduct basic accounting research and analysis to support the audit process
Help implement accounting policies and procedures related to statutory audits
Prepare audit documentation and respond to auditor queries in a timely manner
Support the preparation of regulatory filings and compliance-related reports for EMEA entities
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency in statutory audit processes
Build knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements across EMEA
Work with team members to address accounting questions and ensure consistency in financial reporting
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
2-4 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
Experience or interest in audit and financial reporting processes
Knowledge of IFRS principles and awareness of local GAAP differences
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite especially Excel
Good analytical skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to organize and work with large sets of data
Effective communication skills in English both written and verbal
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Proficiency in a non-English language (e.g. French Spanish German Polish) is a plus
