Your role and responsibilities

As a Registration Officer you will work directly with customers and be responsible for the registration of births deaths and marriages. Your responsibilities will cover all legal aspects of registration and dealing with customers on a 1:1 basis during times of heightened and mixed emotions.

  • handling financial transactions and ensuring compliance with audit procedures including the responsibility of working with secure stock
  • conduct and register civil ceremonies in the Register Office and at Approved Venues during office hours.

You will need

  • to be educated to level 3 standard or have clear evidence of an equivalent level of knowledge and experience
  • to thrive on accuracy and excel in fast-paced environments
  • excellent customer service and teamworking skills
  • to be able to keep calm under pressure have a sharp eye for detail and can confidently manage groups while maintaining a professional appearance
  • ability to navigate tricky situations and resolve conflicts.
