Location : Halifax NS.
Job Type : Permanent
The Electrical IPMS (Engineer or EIT) is responsible for the development of software solutions in regard to the electric systems onboard naval vessels. This is a senior-level position that involves working closely with both internal and external stakeholders including vendors contractors and engineering teams.

The Electrical IPMS (Engineer or EIT) is responsible for the development of software solutions in regard to the electric systems onboard naval vessels. This is a senior-level position that involves working closely with both internal and external stakeholders including vendors contractors and engineering teams.
Job Responsibilities :
- Take ownership of the electrical systems gathering critical information to assist in the development and enhancement of software solutions
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to design build and maintain electrical management software systems leveraging your background in IPMS (Integrated Platform Management Systems) and commercial management software
- Support the creation of technical documentation including data packs and software development processes ensuring clarity and compliance with industry standards
- Apply project management techniques (such as Earned Value (EV) Cost Performance Index (CPI) Schedule Performance Index (SPI) and Risk Managementto deliver on time and within budget
- A solid understanding of shipbuilding systems processes and technologies with proven success in a related environment
- Knowledge of IPMS commercial management software and SCADA-based software
- A degree in a relevant field such as Engineering Computer Science Mathematics or an equivalent qualification
- or EIT designation or actively working towards it
