As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Employee Experience Technology organization youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Develops secure high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Build and maintain back-end services and APIs using Java and frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate.
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the team is using the best tools and techniques.
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5 years of applied experience.
- Experience working as a professional UI developer with Bachelors degree in computer science or information technology
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design application development testing and operational stability
- Full Stack Development primarily in Java Springboot Hibernate on cloud RESTFul API and Microservices development
- Practical cloud native experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
- Experience working in Databases and ability to write sql queries.
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. cloud artificial intelligence machine learning mobile etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Familiarity with front-end technologies - Reactjs
- Familiarity with working in event driven environments messaging platforms modern front-end technologies
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
